Where to Get Cheap Golf Clubs?

New golfer beginners are always confused for the question that how to get the right golf clubs for themselves and where to get the cheap golf clubs with better quality. Many advertised shop and products lead to that they do not know how to make choice. So here are some points when you purchase your golf clubs. I hope they can give you some help.

Think about that for a second. The reason used clubs are for sale is not that the clubs are no good, it's because the previous owner simply didn't like them. Equipment choice can be a very personal thing in golf. If the club doesn't feel right or if you just saw an ad that guarantees additional yardage if you buy the latest driver, you're apt to buy new and try to get rid of your old clubs by trading them in or selling them.

So where do you find these clubs?

Well there are two basic sources, retailers and private parties. Without question, the best deals can be had from private parties but it can be a hit and miss time consuming proposition.

Checking your local paper for yard sales may or may not help you in your search for cheap golf club sets. The reason being is that golf clubs are rarely featured in the yard sale ads. However, it's a safe bet that one out of four will have clubs for sale. The advantage of yard sales is two fold. First, if there are clubs for sale there probably is a bag for sale as well.

Another factor yard sales are great is because they're usually held on weekend mornings. Where is the husband on a weekend morning? Not at the yard sale but out playing golf. That means that you negotiate with Mom, whose primary motive is to clean out the garage, for the price of those clubs.

Here I Will highly recommend TaylorMade R11 Driver and Ping G20 Irons to you. Because both of them are good golf equipment, I believe they can help your game.

If you are attending to buy cheap golf clubs at online store, here is an online golf oulet which named cheapshopgolf.com which I am highly recommend to you. My friend who loves online shopping tells to me that it is a Golf Equipment Online store.

Thanks for your reading, and Hope you have a wonderful and great day.

Caddie Causes Stir With Racial Inference to Woods

SHANGHAI (AP) — Already one of the most festive evenings in golf, the annual Caddies Awards roast was buzzing with talk that Tiger Woods' former caddie might be getting a prize.
One award was called "Celebration of the Year." Everyone knew who would get it and why.
The surprise was how Steve Williams ripped into his old boss with a racial slur that caused even more commotion involving the jilted caddie and golf's biggest name.
"He's a character within the game of golf, and whatever bitterness that exists between him and Tiger should be in the past by now," said Graeme McDowell, one of several players at the party. "It's unfortunate that it's going to rear it's head again."
Williams, still angered over getting fired by Woods this summer, was working for Adam Scott when he won the Bridgestone Invitational. That tournament also was the first time Woods played since splitting with his caddie. An emotionally charged Williams gave a TV interview on the 18th green and called it "the best win of my life," even though he had been on the bag for 13 majors with Woods.
On Friday night, the host called Williams to the stage to collect his award and asked him to explain his enthusiasm. Williams, with a smirk on his face, leaned toward the microphone and said, "It was my aim to shove it right up that black a------."
On a night filled with banter and off-color remarks, this one was a show-stopper. Heads turned, eyes widened and jaws dropped amid a mixture of shock and laughter.
Williams later issued a statement apologizing to Woods. That was good enough for Scott, who said he had no plans to fire his caddie.
"I think everything in that room last night was all in good spirits and for a bit of fun," Scott said after his third round Saturday at the HSBC Champions. "And I think it probably got taken out of that room in the wrong context."
Even as players and caddies spilled into the bar, they couldn't stop talking about it — some because of the racial overtones, some because of how Williams so openly showed his disdain for Woods.
The ground rules for the roast is that everything is off the record, yet this was bound to get out.
A group of British reporters returning from a night out in Shanghai were at the hotel bar when at least one caddie told them what was said. Williams was stunned the next morning to learn that his comments had been published.

New Mizuno MP-59 Irons

With the release of the new Mizuno MP-59 irons, Mizuno uses titanium for a completely different purpose—forgiveness.

While the MP-59 is made from steel, 12 grams of titanium are forged into a pocket behind the face of each club. (It's the slightly darker material in the photo above.) Mizuno says the titanium allows the clubs to maintain the ideal amount of thickness behind the impact area for solid feel while automatically redistributing the weight to the heel, toe and sole of the club.

"The more you push the weight out to the perimeter and the thinner you make it in the middle, there's a trade-off with feel," says David Llewellyn, research and development manager for Mizuno USA. "But by using a lower density material we can maintain thickness here and build in a little bit of forgiveness."

The heads of the MP-59 irons are slightly smaller than last season's MP-58, the first irons released with this feature that Mizuno calls Ti Muscle. Yet Mizuno claims the clubs have a sweet spot that is 5 percent larger. "The MP-58 has a titanium piece that is fairly uniform along the back," says Llewellyn. "On the MP-59 we focused the titanium right in the middle." That should make them perform better on mis-hits than their predecessors, he said.

Cheap Golf Clubs--Titleist AP2 712 Irons

Recently, Titleist company has launched the new AP1 and AP2 irons. They deliver an industry leading combination of performance, looks and feel. Here I only refer to Titleist AP2 712 Irons.

It features our most advanced multi-material designs which deliver superior distance control through increased moment-of-inertia (MOI) which also provides outstanding solid feel. In addition we have made appearance improvements to both sets.

Titleist has always been about tradition and seem to always be going after the better player. I for one like the new 712 AP2 looks pretty decent. Titleist has long used “700’’ numbers for irons for a long time. It uses 900 numbers for metal woods. The “7” stands for irons, while the “12” stands for the new model year, 2012.

The new titleist AP2 irons 712, which are designed for low handicappers,Titleist has significantly increased the club's moment of inertia (MOI) by re-positioning tungsten weight within the heads. The overall goal was to better apply the different materials used in the design.

Acushnet says the feedback it receives during this validation process influences the design and specifications of the Titleist products available in golf shops around the world. No word yet on when the 712 AP2 irons is available at retail.

Overall, the new cheap golf clubs--Titleist 712 AP2 Irons are more forgiving and more disctance control. It gives the AP2 player more consistent ball speed over a larger area of the face.

Bo Van Pelt Leads Asia Pacific Classic

SELANGOR, Malaysia (AP) — Bo Van Pelt shot a 4-under 67 on Saturday to take a one-stroke lead over fellow Indiana player Jeff Overton after the third round of the Asia Pacific Classic.

Van Pelt, the winner of the PGA Tour's 2009 U.S. Bank Championship in Milwaukee, had a 16-under 197 total at The Mines in the second-year event sanctioned by the PGA Tour and Asian Tour.

"I just love to play to compete," Van Pelt said "It's not about the money. That's what gets my juices flowing. Like my grandpa always told me, 'You can't take it with you.'

"Obviously, any time you're near the lead with 18 to go, you're excited. That's why we practice and why we enter tournaments. That's all you can ask for, to have a chance to win on Sunday. It's exciting, and I'm looking forward to it. It's been a while since I won a golf tournament, so it would be great."

Overton, tied for second-round lead with Sweden's Fredrik Jacobson after a course-record 62, had a 69.

"It wasn't my day on the greens," Overton said "Didn't make anything."

Overton noted the Hoosier connection at the top of the leaderboard.

"It's crazy," Overton said. "We're from the same state, Indiana, and probably the only two players in the field or on tour from Indiana. To actually come all the way here, a 12-hour time change, halfway around the world to play golf with each other, it'll be fun."

Luke Donald wins US money list with Disney Classic victory

Britain's Luke Donald clinched the PGA Tour money list title with victory at the Disney Classic in Florida.
The world number one played a magnificent back nine which included six birdies on the way to a 64.
Donald's chances looked far from certain with a bogey six on the eighth but his round came alive on the back nine.
Playing partner and PGA money list rival Webb Simpson finished the tournament four shots behind Donald.
The triumph means Englishman Donald is on course to become the first player to top the money lists in both the United States and Europe.
In Europe the 33-year-old leads by over £1m, but there are eight events left and he will be missing some because his wife Diane is expecting their second child in the next fortnight.
Donald had to win the Florida tournament or finish second to top the money list. It did not look a certainty with eight holes to play as Donald, Simpson, Billy Mayfair and Justin Leonard trailed 15-under-par tournament leader Kevin Chappell by one stroke.
Donald then started playing majestic golf with consecutive birdies on 10, 11, 12, 13, 14 and 15.
He took sole lead of the tournament on the 14th and strengthened his position with an extraordinary 45-foot putt on 15.
His form appeared to put Simpson off his stroke. The 26-year-old American, three under for the front nine, found himself making pars rather than birdies down the home stretch.
Donald, born in Hemel Hempstead, parred 16, 17 and 18 to card his 64 and finish 17 under par.
"I didn't play the Ping G20 Irons fives well," the Englishman said. "But what better time to go on a run than the final round back nine when everything was on the line?
"I wasn't too happy with my swing earlier in the week but it's nice to do it under pressure. All credit to [coach] Pat Goss and the good team I have around me.
"It's been a tremendous year for me. I answered a lot of critics' questions coming here knowing I had to win, and doing it."
A gracious Simpson conceded: "I just ran into a buzz saw! I expected the best player in the world to play well but I didn't quite expect six birdies in a row. I didn't quite have my game where I wanted it." Callaway RAZR Hawk Driver
Donald's Disney win was his fourth PGA career success but his first PGA strokeplay victory since the Honda Classic in 2006.
Donald is still chasing his first major victory, but has posted 14 top 10 finishes in 19 US tournaments in 2011.
The £531,000 Disney Classic cheque took him on to a total of £4.19m ($6.68m) US winnings this year, with Webb Simpson finishing on £3.98m ($6.34m).
Donald currently leads the European Tour money list with £3.34m in earnings, £1.14m clear of Northern Ireland's Rory McIlroy.

Westwood would like to see Asian-Pacific major created

World No. 2 Lee Westwood thinks men's golf should create a new major in the Asia-Pacific region. The 38-year-old Englishman made the suggestion despite being a supporter of the history behind the four events that currently make up the highlights of the golf season.

"I like the tradition of the majors. I think the men's game has got it pretty much right, although I'd like to see another major somewhere else in the world. Somewhere like Asia or Australia," said Westwood, who will be playing in the World Golf Championships-HSBC Champions -- Asia's one truly world-class tournament -- in Shanghai in November.

The HSBC Champions was added to the World Golf Championships schedule in 2009, marking the first time one of the global series had been staged outside the United States since 2006. Like many of the European golfers, Westwood fully supported that move and believes the elite group of events should play an even bigger part in the growing internationalization of the sport.

"The World Golf Championships should move around and encapsulate the whole world because it's in the title of the tournaments," the Englishman said. "They should be played by players from all over the world and be played all over the world. China's an emerging market for golf; there's so many courses being built, people taking up the sport and people getting interested in the sport.

"It's somewhere that World Golf Championships have got to be played because it could turn into such a dominant force. Last year's event was great. Myself and Francesco (Molinari) ran away from the field. It probably looked good on TV and that sort of thing gets people interested. The more tournaments there are played there the more interest there will be.

Westwood finished one shot short of adding a win in Shanghai to a record that includes wins everywhere from Australia, through Japan, Indonesia, Malaysia and Dubai as well as in golf's traditional heartlands.

"I see the way that the Asian economy and markets have supported golf over the last few years and they deserve to have big tournaments there," he said. "Asian golf is getting bigger isn't it? Asia seems to be one of the places that hasn't been hit so hard by the financial crisis. Europe and America have been nailed really, so Asia's going to be looking more healthy. Sponsors are more likely to want to put money into sporting events there because they've got it."

Westwood's comments came after the LPGA was reported to have considered Asia as the location for the fifth Major they were creating this year, before eventually deciding to bestow the honour on the Evian Masters in France.

Captains reveal Presidents Cup picks

Greg Norman and Fred Couples revealed their 2011 Presidents Cup picks via a press conference call on Tuesday evening.

International captain Norman pleased the home fans by selecting Robert Allenby and Aaron Baddeley, while US captain Couples opted for Tiger Woods and the new FedEx Cup champion Bill Haas.

The two-time major champion Norman believes the decision to go with home blood will give the Internationals the edge when the biennial clash tees off at Royal Melbourne on November 17.

“Robert and Aaron are so excited and they can’t wait to get down there,” said Norman, who will be looking to regain the Presidents Cup for his side for the first time since 1998 at the same venue, Royal Melbourne.

“The environment is going to be so enthusiastic, especially with five Australians on the side. We also have a very strong southern hemisphere feel to the team with the likes of South African trio Ernie Els, Charl Schwartzel and Retief Goosen. The balance of my team looks very simplified in terms of pairings.

“But the Australians want to put the record straight for the International side and win a second Presidents Cup in their back yard, that’s for sure.”

Allenby, who is a member of Royal Melbourne Golf Club, echoed Norman’s sentiments.

“Playing at Royal Melbourne will be one of the biggest highlights of my career,” said Allenby, who will be competing in his sixth Presidents Cup.

“Melbourne is my favourite course in the world and I love it there. We have an extremely strong side and some of the guys are in really good form right now. The crowd will be key for us and I’m going to give the week 12 billion per cent.”

Meanwhile, Couples, who had already confirmed Woods’ appearance several weeks ago, admitted his final wildcard pick evolved around Haas and US PGA champion Keegan Bradley - with the former getting the nod.

“Bill simply got the pick because he won the Tour Championship,” confirmed the 1992 Masters champion Couples.

“Had he lost the playoff to Hunter Mahan, then Keegan Bradley would have likely got the spot.”
Not that Haas needed any more good news following his $11.4 million pay day at East Lake on Sunday, yet he gratefully received the call with open arms.

“I am honoured to be on the US team,” said three-time PGA Tour champion Haas, who is son of America’s vice captain, Jay.

“It’s a very special moment as it’s something I worked for at the beginning of the year. Fred has been someone I’ve looked up to and has been a good friend of my dad’s for a long time. I can’t wait to get down to Melbourne and compete in my first Presidents Cup match.”

Unique TaylorMade Tour Preferred CB Irons

Okay, so this one isn't totally forged. Instead, the multi-material Tour Preferred cavity back iron combines a cast body with a forged face in order to take advantage of the forgiveness of a deep cavity back cast club, while retaining the superb feel of a forged iron.

The TaylorMade Tour Preferred CB Irons is the only model that can be purchased with graphite shafts, though the standard is the new, lightweight 110-gram True Temper Dynamic Gold XP steel shaft. Not only is this new shaft considerably lighter than the standard Dynamic Gold, it also promotes a higher ball flight. As mentioned, there is a graphite shaft option which comes custom for this set from Fujikura. Two flex profiles will be available, a 90-gram stiff flex and an 80-gram regular flex.

The TP CB irons have a thin topline, but the widest sole of the three new forged irons, as well as the most offset and slightly stronger lofts. Still, at their friendliest, the clubs would be classified as game-improvement irons. The face also features TaylorMade's Inverted Cone Technology, which varies the thickness of the face itself so shots that are slightly mis-hit create nearly the same ball speed as shots hit in the sweet spot.

As the largest of the three new irons, the TP CB also produces the highest MOI values, which is expected, as it's the most forgiving of the three. A main contributor to the forgiving nature of the TP CB (cheap golf clubs) is the incorporation of TaylorMade's Inverted Cone Technology (ICT) - the only one of the new TP irons that does so. If you're not familiar with ICT, quite simply it promotes faster ball speeds across an expanded area on the club face.

This construction allowed TaylorMade to incorporate an undercut in the back of the club, which in turn let designers move more weight lower and deeper to increase forgiveness.

Experience on Playing Taylormade R11 Fairway Wood

I bought the R11 Fairway Wood last week. The white club head did not bother me at all. Just gets dirty real easy . It launches higher than I thought it would , so time to tinker. I had it set on standard, time to lower it to see if it really helps. I can feel the shaft load, I can feel the head through out my swing.

The latest TaylorMade R11 Fairway Wood is simply black and white which turns out to be very beautiful and great looking. Beside very excellent performance and technology, it is adjustable for golfers to tune for their own swings.

It has a new deeper face and deeper center of gravity, which produces a more penetrating flight. The white non-glare crown and black clubface (which provides easy alignment) will improve your game and that sleek white finish will make you the center of attention on the course and in the clubhouse.

The TaylorMade R11 Fairway Wood (cheap golf clubs) uses a 'Flight Control Technology' (FCT) hosel, letting each golfer adjust the loft of their club, up or down. This changes the launch angle that the ball leaves the face of the club. TaylorMade's 'Adjustable Sole Plate' (ASP) technology sits on the base of the club and can be used to adjust the face angle into a neutral, open or closed setting, for even greater distance.

An advanced sole design reduces the amount of sole area that comes into contact with the turf by 35% compared to the TaylorMade R11 Fairway Wood. This reduces turf resistance for increased speed and helps to minimise clubhead twisting. Each TaylorMade R11 Fairway Wood comes fitted with a Fujikura Blur graphite shaft, which uses a large weave design to offer more stability at impact.

Overall, the face is hot. It is longer and hotter than my Cally razr, and is just a solid club. Much longer than the Callaway Razr I bought a couple weeks ago. I will say that this is an outstanding fairway wood. I am very happy with it.

Nick Dougherty shoots 8-under 63

CRANS-SUR-SIERRE, Switzerland -- Nick Dougherty shot an 8-under 63 Thursday to lead Rory McIlroy by two shots after the first round of the European Masters.

The Englishman had eight birdies in a bogey-free round, while McIlroy had five birdies in his first eight holes. It's McIlroy's first tournament since injuring his right wrist three weeks ago.

"It's totally fine," McIlroy said. "I'm able to hit all the shots I want to and not lose any distance."
Martin Kaymer, Lee Sung and Gary Boyd also were two shots behind the leader. Kaymer had seven birdies and just one bogey.

McIlroy showed no ill effects from the injury he sustained after hitting a tree root during the PGA Championship. He spent two weeks spent recuperating in the United States with his girlfriend, top-ranked tennis player Caroline Wozniacki.

"It's a great way to start the week," said McIlroy, the U.S. Open winner who can rise to No. 3 in the rankings with a victory. "I'm sixth and I want to get higher."

McIlroy's steady round took off with birdie putts of 3 feet and 20 feet at No. 2 and No. 3. His only blemish was a 5 at the fourth hole after hooking his tee shot into trees. But he recovered with a 12-footer on the next hole, then made a 14-foot, downhill putt for birdie at the sixth.

Second-ranked Lee Westwood and British Open winner Darren Clarke were in a group of six players at 4 under. Westwood's adventurous round included two eagles and a double bogey. He missed short par-saving putts at each of the final two holes.

Kaymer made a sensational 40-foot putt for birdie at the short eighth hole, then finished with a birdie at No. 9.

Dougherty has missed the cut at 21 straight events and has no earnings on the European Tour money list.
"It's the first time I've manned up and had a go at it," he said. "I deserved every one of those eight under pars."

The strong field reflects the popularity of the scenic course in the Swiss Alps. It's also the first tournament that counts toward qualifying for the European team to face the United States at the 2012 Ryder Cup.

Titleist AP1 712 Irons Review

The Titleist AP1 are multi-material, dual cavity irons that take the design mission of "Advanced Performance You Can Feel" to new heights.

Building upon the high technology design and resounding success of the original AP irons, Titleist AP1 712 Irons introduces the new high performance AP1 irons for avid golfers. The concept for the original Advanced Performance irons arose as a result of research that indicated serious golfers want performance with great feel, not performance at the expense of feel.

The new Tuned Feel System is a co-molded medallion of soft elastomer and aluminum plate. This insert has been specifically designed to improve the sound and feel of each new iron. For the thinner face, larger cavity AP1 a hotter, more lively feel has been enhanced.

Why They Are Called “Titleist 712”?
For those that are not familiar with the way series are numbered, the 712 is used to designate this particular series. Keeping with tradition the 7 represents the irons and the 12 represents the year in which they were manufactured. This means, they are prepared for 2012.

Refined Designs Under Strict Standards
The Tour Department at Titleist has been working together with the Brand Ambassadors of the company during the last season. They have put together strict standards and specifications that the Titleist 712 AP1 Irons must meet in order to stand up to the quality expected by the company.

The Progressive Blade Length Is A New Breakthrough
While the heads of the Titleist 712 AP1 Irons are the same size as their predecessors, their most significant new feature is a progressive blade length. "The long irons are about the same size," said Chris McGinley, Titleist's vice president of golf club marketing. "But as you go through the set, we brought the blade size down. That lets us make the long irons more forgiving and the short irons more traditional."

In conclusion, they are good performers to help you achieve your goal. Players on the PGA Tour have already tried the new iron set and they gave us a good feedback about the cheap golf clubs. You can put them in your test list.

Ping K15 Hybrid

The Ping K15 Hybrid is available in 3H, 4H, 5H and 6H. They rely on an extremely high moment of inertia and a patent-pending feature that creates lower-spinning, higherlaunching shots that fly longer and straighter.

A multimetal iron design combines a large, lightweight titanium face with a 17–4 stainless-steel body to increase forgiveness and improve launch conditions. Weight saved from the titanium face is allocated to the sole and perimeter to achieve more accuracy and higher ball flights.

Key Technologies: This design evolved from the G15. The iron-style head with offset creates a more dynamic launch than previous models and helps to get the ball in the air more easily. Ping designers took weight away from the center and placed it in the heel and sole, increasing inertia dramatically for improved forgiveness.

Testers Say: One of the highest-rated hybrids in the test; excellent sticks for players who need help achieving higher flight; blends seamlessly with K15 irons.

Titleist 909 F3 Fairway Wood Review

Launched in late 2008, the Titleist 909 F3 Fairway Wood is a very nice looking, well designed range of clubs. And as with most Titleist golf clubs, they are aimed mostly at mid to low handicappers.

The design of the Titleist 909 F3 Fairway Wood is unique in itself, and is clearly built with a purpose. It features a factory-installed weight screw in the sole that helps move the center of gravity deeper and allows for a more precise swingweight. It can also be used with a variety of customizable shafts, giving the user a very confident feeling that allows them to make the club their own.

The Titleist 909 F3 Fairway Wood features a compact, pear-shaped profile and a deep face that produce mid launch with low spin. A modern shape with a Tour-proven profile creates a deeper CG (center of gravity) for added stability while the large, long face provides confidence and forgiveness.

The sole contours minimize turf resistance and ensure the ground contact point remains forward, reducing bounce and skip and a factory installed balance weight helps position the CG deep and provides precise head-to-shaft matching. Finally, a precision cast, stainless steel body with a Carpenter steel face insert provides lively feel and increased ball speed.

Overall, the size of these particular fairway woods from Titleist aren't going to overpower anybody. They are a relatively small series of cheap golf clubs, yet that doesn't stop them from packing a powerful punch. Titleist rarely puts forth a club that doesn't feature plenty of power, and this set of fairway woods is no exception.

Forgiving irons: Titleist AP2 710 Irons

The new Titleist AP2 710 Irons have been created with the serious golfer in mind. With their classic blade looks, improved feel and playability for excellent shot control, these multi material, dual cavity forged irons use the latest in ground-breaking technology to give golfers the advanced performance, increased distance and exceptional feel that they are crying out for.

The original AP2 Irons, along with the more forgiving AP1 Irons have already proved to be extremely popular amongst avid golfers when they were first launched back in 2008. With the AP2 Irons becoming the number one irons used on the PGA Tour during the 2008 and 2009 season. Since then, Titleist have continued to work on improving the overall feel and performance of these irons.

By listening to feedback from the Tour and using the latest cutting edge design and technology, they have come up with the new and improved versions, the AP1 710 Irons & Titleist AP2 710 Irons. You will find that the new Titleist AP2 710 Forged Irons contain all of the ingredients and characteristics that true golfers require, and will have you playing with more confidence and style than ever before.

Titleist understand what aspiring golfers are looking for in a set of performance Irons! They know that providing players with advanced performance in terms of distance and shot control is just simply not good enough anymore. Serious golfers want exceptional feel as well, and not performance at the expense of feel, which is unfortunately, often the case with most of the traditional 'players' irons out there!

The new Titleist AP2 710 Irons (buy golf clubs) offers golfers exactly that. By conducting extensive research on sound and vibration analysis, they have managed to reduce the harsh lower frequency vibrations that causes poor feel in irons. This led them to develop and construct a forged steel iron set that combines several technologies and materials to accomplish the desired results.

Ping K15 Driver and Hybrid

John K. Solheim, who leads Ping's golf club engineering sector, believes the addition of the K15 Series of clubs to the company's successful G15 and i15 family will help golfers better determine the technology best suited for their games.

The K15 series includes a new driver in three loft options, fairway woods and iron/hybrid set. Today, I will talk about K15 Driver and K15 Hybrid.

The Ping K15 Driver has an elongated head design that combines with an external weight pad to position the center of gravity for higher launching and longer carry drives. It is engineered with Straight Flight Technology (SFT) which promotes natural club head rotation by concentrating approximately 10% of the head mass towards the heel. A larger face increases forgiveness and ball velocity for greater distance and accuracy.

The Ping K15 Hybrid is designed as a compliment to the K15 irons, the K15 hyrbid allows you to pptimize your set to improve your ball flight, and build consistency in your game. This hybrid replaces harder-to-hit long irons, and relies on a patent-pending design that creates lower-spinning, higher-launching shots that fly straighter and longer. A large internal weight pad in the hybrid produces a high MOI for added forgiveness. The hybrid’s offset hosel and face relationship increases launch and lowers spin.

When you can control your game from 175 yards and out you have a better chance of reaching more greens in regulation and a better chance of playing better golf.  When you can reach more greens you will turn bogeys into pars and pars into birdies.  Imagine what that could do to the score you turn in at the end of your round.

However, if you are a mid to low handicap that has a fade or plays a slice, then these are a good choice for you. The offset hosel paired with the design for lower spin will give you more control and allow you to hit the ball further than you are used to. These cheap golf clubs can help to improve your game if you are not already shooting in the low 80s or better.

Adjusting Your Golf Swing For Cold Weather

Cold air is heavy, therefore it creates more resistance to the flight of the ball. Cold, heavier winds naturally encourage golfers to swing harder, which will create more errors.

It will cause you to be out of position through impact, allowing your right side to dominate (for right golfers) at the inappropriate time. By having a more reckless swing to counteract the cooler weather, this action will move your right arm and shoulder out of the desired position. This will force the club head to approach the ball in a too steep angle. In golf talk: "coming over the top of the ball."

Because of the colder temperatures, all players should gear their swings to produce a lower trajectory to the flight of the ball. To accomplish this, the swing plane (path that the club travels) should be in a shallower arc. This will allow the club head to contact the ball properly. Also, play the ball slightly back in your stance.

One of the essential keys is to have your shoulders set up correctly at address. Having your shoulders in the proper position will encourage good shoulder motion throughout your swing. In the set-up (starting position), the right shoulder should be slightly lower than the left, with the right arm relaxed and the elbow gently tucked. From this position, the right allows the left to control the takeaway. Remember the left leads, and the right follows.

A very common error is that the right shoulder is too high through the hitting area. A simple, quick fix is to not allow your right shoulder to pass the ball. This will encourage you to come into the ball with more of an uppercut type blow (much like a boxer), as opposed to a roundhouse spinning motion that is too hard to time up consistently.

Also, when you're out there playing in this colder weather, protect your head, feet and hands. Try to keep your golf balls warm as well. Taking care of your equipment and yourself will make playing the game more enjoyable during this brief period of colder weather.

Wow! Astonishing Titleist 910F fairway wood

I bought this club last week, took it out for a spin on Sunday in my club. A bit scared to use it for fear of idiot marks due to the shallow crown (to whit - my OCD personality). However, after babying the club for the first 8 holes I got to the monster par 4 9th (400mtrs ++). Hit a scorcher of a drive for severely uphill hole in 4 degrees celsius.

The Titleist 910F Fairway Wood metals deliver total performance with improvements in flight, fit, looks, feel and sound. The Titleist 910F delivers versatile, all-around performance from the tee or turf. Its thin crown and high performance weighting create a low and deep CG for easier launch off the turf.

Then second shot from 180 metres hit the fairway wood to an uphill green and came 2 metres short of the green. Dropped a ball in the same spot and tried again - same penetrating ball flight - rocketed with avery slight draw toward the front of a heavily contoured green and came within 10 metres of the hole. I never hit that green in 2 before. Needless to say - I fell in love and started singing to myself about my new mistress.

Titleist 910 fairway metals are available in two models that provide distinct performance. The 910F is a versatile, maximum forgiveness fairway metal designed for outstanding performance from the turf or tee. The 910F features a pear shaped head design with a deep CG for easier launch off the turf and straighter more consistent ball flight.

Titleist's latest fairway wood showcases the same adjustable technology found in its 910D series drivers. The "SureFit Tour" hosel with "dual angle technology" enables you to adjust loft and lie independently of each other, so you can alter loft without affecting lie, or vice versa.

And its patented, SureFit Tour, dual-angle hosel technology provides the ability to make precise, independent loft and lie adjustments to fine-tune ball flight for more distance and accuracy. The payoff: It's so simple to custom-fit this cheap golf clubs to your desired trajectory (high, medium or low), spin rate, and shot shape (fade or draw).

Simply put - the best fairway wood I have used to date, with a lovely balanced shaft (75 gram stiff Diamana)and beautiful, elegant head shape. I really don't think Titleist can be matched across it's range. Everything they delivery is pure and utter class - and they just keep getting better.

Introducing the PING G20 family

We all saw Tom Lewis bounding down the fairways of Royal St George’s with his PING emblazoned cap and bag – and the GM inbox was inundated with requests to know what he was using.

Well, we answered it in the way of an In the Bag article – and now, on the strength of Tour players’ enthusiasm for the new family and Anser Milled putters, PING have launched the G20 range to the public. Headline act? The G20 driver (left), already in the bag of Bubba Watson, Ángel Cabrera and Miguel Angel Jimenez.

“There’s a lot of new technology in the entire G20 family,” said PING chairman and CEO John Solheim.

“Our engineers optimised the clubs to fit and benefit golfers of all skill levels.

“In the driver, we’re using for the first time a titanium alloy called Ti 8-1-1, which allows us to improve the weighting to better optimise the entire clubhead. When combined with our new, proprietary high-balance-point shaft, our testing shows significant improvements in energy transfer, which leads to longer, straighter drives.

“The irons are more forgiving and feature a cavity design that includes an elastomer badge for improved feel. The fairway woods and hybrids offer golfers high-launching, forgiving options from all conditions.”
But it's not all about the G20. Also new to the family are the Anser wedge, Anser Milled putters and Sydney putter. Various Anser Milled putters – seven models in all – are in the bags of PING pros Hunter Mahan, Angel Cabrera, Lee Westwood, Louis Oosthuizen, Heath Slocum and others. With the Anser Milled Series, PING updates the original Anser design of company founder Karsten Solheim.

The new designs, all precision-milled from 303 stainless steel, offer various hosel configurations to match specific stroke types and feature intricate design details to build upon the performance that has contributed to more than 500 tour wins and 26 major victories since 1966.

PING have also introduced its ‘Fit for Stroke’ putter fitting concept. Every PING putter is balanced to fit a stroke type: straight, slight arc or strong arc. Each putter will include a shaft label indicating its matching stroke type.

Extensive player and robot testing have offered overwhelming proof that when a golfer’s putter balance matches their stroke type, their consistency improves and they make more putts.

Wait Worth It For Downes Crediton Duo

Downes Crediton's Barry Austin and Tony Cockayne booked a trip to Turkey in the Lombard Challenge, a PGA Pro-Captain Tournament, West Region qualifier at Woodbury Park - but admitted they were left sweating on the final result.

The Devon pair shot a 10 under par round of 62 to top the leaderboard but they ended the day with a double bogey and wondered if they had missed their chance at the Exeter venue.

Even with their slip at the 18th hole though, they still managed to finish two shots ahead of Worcestershire Golf Club's Richard Lewis and Andy Davis, and Gary Milne and Paul Smale from Exeter Golf & Country Club.

Austin and Cockayne's display was enough to earn them a place in the £25,000 final which will be held at Antalya Golf Club's PGA Sultan Course from November 25-26.

PGA professional Austin said: "We went out early and were doing well, but when you end with a double bogey you wonder if it's going be a case of 'if only'.

"Our back nine wasn't so good so I thought that if someone tied with us then they would win on countback.

"We went home and came back later but we'd done enough to win as it turned out. But we knew our score could have been even better.

"Tony and I have been playing a lot of pro-captain events recently and doing well so it was good to win.

"And the venue is fantastic. I've played there before in the PGA National Pro-Am Championship so I know we're going to be well looked after.

"I'm chuffed to get to the final and so is Tony."

Lewis not ready for the millions... yet!

Tom Lewis edged out American Peter Uihlein to win the Silver Medal at The Open Championship by three strokes – but the 20-year-old has admitted he’s not ready to turn pro just yet.

The highly-promising Hertfordshire amateur followed up his open rounds of 65, 74 and 76 to add another 74 and finish at 9-over – a tie for 30th place.
“It has been an amazing Open for me,” said the Welwyn Garden City resident. “The first day was wonderful and I couldn’t have asked for more.
“It’s just a shame the last three days that I haven’t played anywhere near as well as I’d hoped.

“After the first round, I thought of possibly turning pro and becoming a millionaire. But that’s not going to happen now. I’ve got things to learn, as I’ve lost by about 20 shots this week.
“I feel like I’m ready in certain areas, but playing with Phil Mickelson on Saturday made me feel terrible around the greens. If you’re going to play with the best players in the world, you have to chip and putt like they do.

“Hopefully I can just play well in the coming weeks and we’ll see what happens.
“I’d love to play in the Walker Cup in September. I’ve made every team possible as an amateur, so Walker Cup would be excellent.”

After two days in the presence of the legend after whom he was named, Tom Watson, Lewis had the honour of playing alongside another of the game’s greats in Mickelson.
And while he struggled in the worst of the weekend’s weather, Lewis was not to be outdone in the race for the coveted Silver Medal – aided by a wonderful driver, 9-iron, 35-foot putt eagle at 7.

“I was just happy to play Mizuno JPX AD Irons with Tom Watson and Henrik Stenson, and Phil Mickelson too,” he concluded. “And I hope I can maybe one day come back and win.”
Lewis won Europe's premier amateur strokeplay event - the St Andrews Links Trophy - in June before receiving congratulations from fellow Welwyn Garden City Golf Club member Sir Nick Faldo.

New Cheap Taylormade R11 Irons

New cheap Taylormade R11 Irons has been Released. When Taylormade released the white R11 driver…it was basically an FU to the entire industry when you think about it.

And the sheer numbers of them give you a great probability that you will get a win on tour with one of these new white drivers pretty quickly…which of course influences the consumer all the way down the line…it is a validation (although not a good one) to them that this thing must work.

Well with all that success the R11 driver had…the question I hear quite often since has been will Taylormade release a set of R11 irons?

Scotty Cameron Circa 62 Putter Review

The Scotty Cameron Circa 62 line of putters, made by Titleist, consists of five models: No. 1, No. 2, No. 3, No. 6 and No. 7. Each club comes with 4 degrees of loft, 330-gram head weight and a 71-degree lie.

The head is made of carbon steel with a precision-milled face and a mist finish to reduce glare. Each Circa 62 is stocked with a signature Cameron Red Baby T grip on a standard 35-inch shaft. Lefthanded clubs are available in the No. 2 model only.

And the Scotty Cameron Circa 62 putter offers soft feel and true rolls. The ball comes off the face quickly and gives true feedback, especially on off-centered putts. The grips are comfortable and stay positioned in the hands throughout the stroke. The 62s set up nicely and are sleek, simple-looking putters. Especially notable are the soft, mist finishes, which are easy to look at during strokes.

The Circa 62 line has few drawbacks. However, the putters have a tendency of feeling a bit light, making them a bit unreliable for those with shaky putting strokes. The No. 6 and No. 7 models, being face-balanced, slightly make up for this flaw.

At around $300, the Cameron Circa 62 is worth the price tag. Therefore, if you are willing to buy golf clubs, it is right. Moreover, it is at the top of its game with quality, reputation and reliability. Each model produces true rolls, great distance control and honest feedback, despite its seemingly light feel.

Reagan Kennedy quietly makes ace & Ping G20 Hybrid

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. -- Six-year-old golfer Reagan Kennedy sank a hole-in-one on a course in central Illinois and hardly made a peep. Why so calm? Her father had told her not to make a lot of noise while playing.

But 13-year-old Cheyenne Broquard said she told her younger sister that making an ace was the one time a golfer could be excused for being loud.

"We told her this is one time you can scream," Broquard told Bloomington newspaper The Pantagraph. "It didn't hit her until the seventh hole and she said, 'I'm going to get another one.' We said, 'OK, hot shot.' "
According to The Pantagraph, Kennedy aced an 85-yard shot on the third hole at The Links at Ireland Grove last week using a hybrid club.

Erin Kennedy, Reagan's mother, said her husband, Steve, put a golf club in Reagan's hands when she was only 2. According to the paper, Reagan played in a tournament in June and finished third in a division for girls ages 6 and 7.

Reagan Kennedy, of Bloomington, said she's now working toward her ultimate golf goal -- beating her father.

"Each year she gets better and better," Steve Kennedy said. "After the Country Youth Classic we came out a few times and she's shot better scores."

By the way, here is a new ping golf--Ping G20 Hybrid. The Ping Company is constantly upgrading and designing new ideas in their golf clubs. People look forward to these new clubs in order to improve their game. Currently, it has been announced that a new G20 hybrid will be introduced.

Players are excited about seeing this club in use by some of the pros at that venue. All golf clubs, put out by this company, are highly prized throughout the world. They are especially designed to correct the problems that are often found when playing this popular game. Their hybrid club, wedges, and the well-known putter are being used somewhere every day.

Specials: Titleist 910 D2 Driver

Titleist have one goal in mind when they create their new products, which is to utilize the very latest technologies and produce a new design that offers golfers an improved level of performance.

First, I want to say, the Titleist 910 D2 Driver Advanced Technologies include the following aspects:

Patented SureFit Tour Technology – this is what really sets the new 910 drivers apart from the crowd. The patented SureFit Tour Technology offers golfers the ability to independently set the loft and lie angles on the clubhead, with up to 16 different combinations.

Fast Face Insert Technology – using this technology the Titleist 910 D2 Driver maximizes ball speed by increasing the effective hitting area by up to 15% on the previous models. They achieve this by varying the thickness across the entire clubface so that there is a thicker central portion that is equidistant from all points of the face perimeter.

Otimized Weight Distribution - Titleist have also optimized weight distribution by lowering the driver's center of gravity and moving it further back in the clubhead. They have done this through thinning the crown of the cludhead by 17%, and creating a more sloped rear crown profile.

The 910 D2 Driver is one of cheap golf clubs. It has a larger clubhead at 460cc which offers more forgiveness, and the 910 D3 Driver has a smaller clubhead at 445cc with a slightly deeper face, which offers additional shot and trajectory control (probably more suited to the highly skilled golfers out there).
Finally, the latest Titleist 910 D2 Drivers have arrived, which is a great news for golfers who are looking to improve their overall driving performance by increasing distance, accuracy and control off of the tee.

Experience of Using Callaway FT-IQ Driver

My experience with the Callaway FT-IQ Driver really was forgettable except for the money I wasted, but Callaway has more than corrected its problems when it developed the FT-IQ.

I bought this driver to replace my broken FTi. The first 10 drives are for the new alignment. After that, it's always in the middle of the fairway and at least 30 yards longer than my old FTi. I didn't think there would be much change from one club to the other. But there is. Worth every $. I usally play around 90's.

Callaway claims that the FT-iQ driver is the longest, straightest driver their engineers have ever created utilizing the coolest, latest innovations from Formula One racers and Stealth Bombers to fire a smart bomb down the fairway. While some golfers say that the FT-iQ looks more like a torpedo rather than a driver, fans would rather compare it with a Lamborghini and endorse it as the next generation of square drivers.

Tjerefore, if you want to buy golf clubs, this is your right answer. With the Center of Gravity (CG) at half the height of the previous FT-i version, golfers are blessed with a superbly low-spin ball launch. Visible external web weighting strategically positions discretional weight to the heel corners, resulting in fades and slices that are drastically reduced to help golfers hit amazingly straight shots.

This is the longest driver i have ever hit. I like the callaway drivers and i love em but the price tag scared me away. Great for rich high handicapers, and anyone who struggles with finding the fairway. Personally i don't have a problem.

The Ping G20 Irons feature a new Custom Tuning Port which expands perimeter weighting and increases MOI. The thinner face of the G20 Iron helps position weight to the toe  for added forgiveness. 2.Stainless Steel Irons
3.Wider sole provides a higher launch angle
4.Strong lofts and a low center of gravity produce long shots with a high trajectory and maximum forgiveness

And it helps position weight to the toe  for added forgiveness. The wider sole provides a higher launch angle. Strong lofts and a low center of gravity produce long shots with a high trajectory and maximum forgiveness.

TaylorMade Tour Preferred CB and MB Irons

Tell you, the TaylorMade Tour Preferred CB Irons is the latest and greatest from one of the top names in golf. This Tour-preferred set has a cavity back for soft, responsive feel and consistency and allows forgiveness on off-center hits.

The new Tour Preferred Forged CB irons (CB stands for Cavity Back) are created by plasma-welding a 8620 carbon steel cast body and a slightly firmer, forged, carbon steel face. This construction allowed TaylorMade to incorporate an undercut in the back of the club, which in turn let designers move more weight lower and deeper to increase forgiveness.

The face also features TaylorMade's Inverted Cone Technology, which varies the thickness of the face itself so shots that are slightly mis-hit create nearly the same ball speed as shots hit in the sweet spot.

A carbon composite badge on the back of the face helps to dampen the impact sound and further enhance feel. The TP CB irons have a thin topline, but the widest sole of the three new forged irons, as well as the most offset and slightly stronger lofts. Still, at their friendliest, the clubs would be classified as game-improvement irons.

And serious players need only apply when you get to this level. The TaylormadeTour Preferred Forged MB Irons (MB stands of Muscle Back) is all about feel and control.

There is no carbon composite badge here to alter the feel created at impact, although to make the TP MB irons appeal to more players, a touch of offset has been added to the hosel.

The heads of the TP MBs are slightly smaller from heel to toe than the TP MC, but the par area, where the face meets the hosel, has been made much smaller. The reason for this is that most accomplished players want to see the face coming right out of hosel.

The improved high toe profile of the Scotty Cameron Newport 2 Putters feature a stepless shaft for a clean look and offer a soft but solid feel and are equipped a new Scotty Cameron red cord grip.

Features

☺ Enhanced Heel-Toe Weighting - Two circular sole weights increase stability and MOI for a larger sweet spot

☺ Studio Select also features a stepless shaft for a clean look at address and soft but solid feel
☺ Bold Red Tour Graphics - For oustanding cosmetic appearance
☺ Grip - Red Cameron Cord

Four Good Reasons to Take Up Golf as a Sport

Golfing is one of the best exercises that you can do.Can you imagine the amount of walking you can do on any given course, if you’re not a straight hitter? Some golf courses make you take a golf cart because of the steep terrain. Golfing can keep you’re heart pumping at a good pace depending on the golf terrain. So if you have not walked a country mile. Take up golf and you will have you’re fair share of walking a country mile.

1. The Challenge

A lot of people would ask the same question over and over again, and probably still do today. Why would anybody want to chase a little cheap golf clubs around? I use to think and ask myself the same question until that very first liftoff from a fairway lie. Oh yes! It is a great feeling when you finally lift it off the fairway and watch the ball fly towards the green and watch it land and roll towards the flagstick, especially if you are a long distance from the green and hitting the green in regulation. The feeling of success is amazing and the challenge to do it again brings you back time and time again.

Once you catch that feeling, the challenge to come back and repeat the same golf shot makes you a better golfer in the long run. The challenge you have now sticks with you the more you play. The frustration of not being able to do it over and over again, and then finally once again there goes that beautiful golf shot again, makes you come back for more. Golfing has more than one challenge. The challenge within yourself to play better golf, and the challenge to play better than you’re competitor. A lot of times the challenge to beat your own game can be a real uphill battle. Go ahead and try the challenge.

2. The Scenery

Golf courses truly have some of the best breathtaking scenery, depending on where you reside. A lot of the Titleist 910F fairway wood have rolling fairways and trees of all colors that stretch out on both sides of the fairway, creeks that split fairways in half. Lot of golf courses have greens that are surrounded by huge trees, rock formations, and rolling mounds, and many other natural beauties.

Most golf courses surround their greens with water and sand traps. The tee boxes on some courses are perched up on a hillside overlooking a valley, or body of water. Flowers and plants, and or more trees surround a lot of tee boxes. Sometimes the tee boxes and greens are in the wilderness, and or near cliffs. There is a lot of great scenery on golf courses that will want you to say. This is amazing scenery!

3. The Peace and Tranquility

The best part of golf is the relaxation you get out it, depending on how you’re game is going of course. Just imagine yourself nestled on a tee box first thing in the morning, and all you hear is the chirping of the birds and the sound of the trees blowing around you. Another good feeling is standing in the middle of the Callaway RAZR Hawk Fairway Wood with the sun beating down on you with a cool misty breeze coming from a nearby body of water. I like the late afternoon just before the sun goes down and the trees are swaying a bit more.

Sometimes all you hear is a plane going by overhead and the crack of another golf ball going off a tee box. A lot of the golf courses take you away from the clubhouse and land you out in the country, and or fairly wooded areas where the peace and tranquility of mother nature truly makes you sit up and take hold of it’s natural beauty it has to offer.

Make Old Clubs Like New

Over the years, I've learned that some golfing tips are better than others. To be honest, some of the best golf tips are also some of the simpliest to apply. This may be one that falls into that category.

If you're like me and find yourself not able to afford wholesale golf clubs this year or you simply don't want to get rid of your old favorites, consider reinvigorating those old clubs with some new grips.

Depending on how much you play and practice will determine when you should be thinking about replacement grips. And, of course, better made grips should last longer than less expensive ones. But, overall, after two or three seasons, it's time to take a look at those grips to see if they are still holding up.

Generally speaking, common sense, coupled with a keen visual inspection, will tell you if it's time to replace the grips. Look for flat spots, worn areas, and nicks and cuts. Also, check the tightness of the grip on the shaft. There is nothing worse for your game than a loose grip. And, no, wrapping it with duct tape is not the answer.

If you decide that is time to replace those old, worn-out grips, do a bit of research before jumping into the replacement phase. Take a trip to a good pro shop and ask the pro there for some advice. Most better pro shops will actually do the replacements for you and are happy to spend some time with you as you decide on the right type of grip.

Keep in mind that you do not have to replace your old grips with the exact same type of grip. It may be time to explore a new model of grip. Issues such as grip thickness, material, length and overall "feel" in your hands, can all be changed at this point. Find something that really feels as if it is a part of your hands. Something that fits you perfectly. Again, the pro can help you with this decision and show you various kinds of grips to fit your individual needs and budget.

Now as much as I love the Internet and all that it is capable of doing, I don't recommend that you buy your grips online until after you have had a chance to physically test a few grips. If you plan to replace your grips with exactly the same style and model of grip that you have now, this isn't too big an issue. But if you're planning to switch models, then do yourself a big favor and test some out in person before ordering online. Getting a set of new grips that look awesome online but feel "wrong" in your hands will only disappoint you.

The fact is, putting new grips on old clubs is a great way to save money and improve your game. It's almost like getting a new set for a fraction of the cost!

If you Love Callaway RAZR X Irons

In designing the clubs, Callaway Golf kept in mind something we all know is true: Mid- and high-handicappers often struggle to hit down through the ball.

The Callaway RAZR X Irons are optimized with that in mind. We often hit the ball thin with irons, because the bottom of the swing arc isn't catching that nice, pretty shallow divot. In other words, when playing irons from the fairways, most golfers hit a lot of balls off the lower part of the iron face.

I like that the sweet spot is larger and lower on the face.It seems almost all of my mis hits I hit are thin shots to low on the face,so I am thinking that this will help. They say with this setup they were able to make the lofts stronger so the ball will go farther, and my thinking on that is then maybe I dont have to have the full set and carry a couple more wedges.

The company claims the irons are for "golfers looking to make the jump from being a high handicap to a single digit player." So while they target both distance and forgiveness, the irons keep certain looks from players' clubs, such as the thin sole width.

I ordered pw-6iron to see what the distances are going to be.In the past I had a set of cobras that had a huge sweet spot and could hit those things along ways like a pw 150. After just coming off playing mizunos mp 68's and ping i3 blades I know I am going to love them.

Cleveland CG15 Satin Chrome Wedge VS CG F1 Wedge

As is known to all, the cleveland cg15 satin chrome wedges feature a Laser Milled face that produces four perfectly texture lines milled between each groove which optimized ball-to-face friction and maximizes spin within the rules of the game.
Its Zip grooves optimize the groove dimensions to USGA limits, which channels away the most debris possible to improve contact and maximize spin. The Satin Chrome finish provides a clean, classic look from address.
FootJoy has announced it is taking significant steps to develop its golf clothing with a new line of designs and fabrics ready for shipment into Europe in March 2012.
Already the best selling golf brand in golf shoes and gloves, FootJoy says the new lines will  be supplemented by new and contemporary colours and patterns in a variety of styles purely for golfers.
The time of day we play golf can seriously effect our performance, according to sleep experts. Though playing the 'dawn patrol' may be more convenient, it's more likely to deliver more bogeys than birdies, while a late afternoon tee time is more productive for better scoring.
And the cleveland cg F1 Wedge has a straight leading edge and round head shape with a taller heel and straight neck. This versatile head is easy to play square or open. One of its biggest fans is former World No.2 Steve Stricker who says: "I'm impressed with the quality, fit and comfort FootJoy's layering system. It allows me to regulate my body temperature based on changing conditions."
It features consistent milling of each groove to maximum conforming dimensions. The absolute integrity of these grooves is maintained by the application of a proprietary coating to each groove for protection during the face sandblasting process. The resulting ZIP Grooves are Cleveland's biggest and most precisely milled ever.
"Following our success in the outerwear category, including the popular layering system, the time has come for FootJoy to enter the full line men's golf apparel business," says FootJoy's Andy Jones. "This strategic initiative has been carefully considered for several years and is supported by an extremely sophisticated and comprehensive study of the golf apparel category.

Overton Takes Nelson Lead With Bogey-Free 64

IRVING, Texas (AP) — When the par putt dropped for Jeff Overton on the second hole early in the Byron Nelson Championship, things suddenly seemed to be going in the right direction for him again.

"That broke a lot and I thought I missed it, and it actually went in," Overton said about the 10-footer on the 220-yard par-3 hole. "And next thing, I was able to hit a lot of great shots and strike out early. I never had a chance of making bogey from there. "

Overton went on to a bogey-free 6-under 64 on Thursday to take the first-round lead at the Nelson, a stroke better than Ryan Palmer.

After that breaker on No. 2, Overton made consecutive birdies. He then started his back nine with four birdies in a seven-hole stretch for his best score in 15 career rounds at the Nelson, even after his 22-foot birdie try on the closing hole lipped out.

Among his three runner-up finishes last season, when Overton was on the Ryder Cup team, was at the Nelson. "It's nice having confidence because of last year," Overton said. "I knew I played well. I just wanted to keep things rolling."

Sergio Garcia, who withdrew from a British Open qualifier this week and didn't even play a practice round at TPC Four Seasons because of an infected fingernail on his left hand, was in a group of nine players two strokes back after opening 66s.

The infection on Garcia's ring finger made it difficult to grip a club. His finger was sore a few days ago that he thought he might not even be able to play.

How about this for a cure for Garcia? Antibiotic cream, draining the infection, seeing the new "Pirates of the Caribbean" movie and an opening eagle.

Review about: Callaway FT-iZ driver

Callaway Golf says that in its never-ending mission to find more distance and accuracy for golfers, its engineers used an entirely new design to produce the Callaway FT-iZ Driver which it revealed at the PGA Merchandise Show last week.
No price has been set for the club but standard versions will be fitted with Aldila Voodoo shafts and loft options will be 9, 10, 11 and 13 degrees .
When it comes to Callaway drivers, I’m more of an FT-9 man than FT-iQ, and although I certainly recognize the benefit of the crown’s unique shape on the Draw version, I’m not terribly keen on the original Diablo which I’m sure will be usurped, surpassed and become outdated with the launch of the new Diablo Edge in a few weeks’ time.
With TaylorMade clubs, I’m still perfectly happy to tonk it in the general direction of the fairway with my old r7 425, rather than the newer R9 or R9 460 which, too, will be more or less swallowed up when the R9 Super Tri, already a hit on the pro Tours (‘We’ve optimized the world’s most optimized driver’), arrives at a store near you later this month.
You see where I’m coming from? Head shape and a sense of familiarity are far more important to me than the very latest technological ‘breakthrough’ which, as we all know, might be no more technological than a slightly different color paint and new graphic.
A golfer would be foolish though to reject every new cheap golf clubs that comes along, and definitely shouldn’t pass up the possibility of carrying the ball an extra couple of yards just for the sake of being a traditionalist – as if hitting a TaylorMade r7 425, Nike SQ DYMO, Callaway FT-i or Big Bertha 460, for instance, makes you a traditionalist.

Collingtree pair win Matchplay Championship

Northampton golfers, Andrew Billson and Andy Castell who play at the former European tour venue at Collingtree Park are the latest winners of the JRW Group's Matchplay Pairs championship.

They won the title at The Els Club in Dubai after a fearless display over the back nine to overturn a one-shot deficit with four holes to play behind overnight leaders Chris Scott-Douglas and Mike Ankers.

Wrexham players Paul Fell (Clays Golf Centre) and Joanne Beddows (Caldy) claimed the mixed pairs by five shots from Mike Perry and Samantha Hill adding 43 betterball stableford points to their second round 78 total.

“If you’re an amateur golfer and you don’t pay just £25 to enter this tournament you must be mad, " said Billson. "It has been a fantastic experience to come over to Dubai and compete in the final.  Everything is so well run it’s like playing in a professional tournament.

He added: "We got off to a slow, nervous start in the last round, but we really got it going around the turn making three straight birdies from the seventh hole. My partner hit it in the hazard on 15 but amazingly the ball was playable and he got it greenside chipped in for birdie and earned us four points. That was the turning point."

More than 30 golfers enjoyed luxurious accommodation at the Marriott Dubai Harbour Hotel as well as complimentary flights to Dubai and four rounds of golf at the world-renowned Els Club, designed by the former World No.1.

Said John Woosey, managing director of the JRW Group commented: “It has been a fantastic final and the tournament has been an overwhelming success; we couldn’t be happier so a big thanks to our spneosrs for their support.”

“It’s been a pleasure having the Matchplay Championships here at The Els Club this week,” commented Chris Brown, General Manager, The Els Club, Dubai. “The course is in great shape at the moment and hopefully the players have had fun playing on a championship calibre golf course. We’re looking forward to hosting the tournament again next year.”
